here i go again

every once in a while, i attempt to take pictures w/ toby. unfortunately, he usually either turns his head or kisses me!

well, here i am, jumping back into the world of blogging.... i guess i never got over it! i am jen, i'm a proud apostolic girl, i live in the dallas area, yada yada yada. named this blog "grain of salt" b/c well.... that's how everything i say should be taken (yeah, i occasionally get "foot-in-mouth" disease) and *"deep" theological thought* since believers are the salt of the earth, i kinda see myself as.... a grain of salt! yeah!

i love reading trivial trivia about others so i thought i'd share some of my own:

:: i am very very very nearsighted in one eye and just slightly farsighted in the other. it's never seemed that odd to me but everyone else seems to think so.

:: going along with the above, i usually don't wear my glasses (even though i think they're cute) in public unless it somehow works with my outfit. SHAME! i do, however, wear them at my desk at my work since i stare at a computer all day and get headaches if i am four-eyesless.

:: i was told by the guy who trained me to do my current job that i have the attention span of a gnat, LOL. so true, so true.

:: i LOVE sheep! they are soooo adorable! im ashamed to admit that yes, i have tried lamp chop but tears sprang to my eyes when i realized that this dear lamb unwittingly sacrificed her life for human consumption. well, maybe i didn't get that emotional but i swore that i would Never eat another sheep.

:: love love love lakes, rivers, oceans (ooohhh, how i wish i lived near the ocean!), swimming pools and most large bodies of water. but i can't swim to save my life....quite literally.

:: i break out into song frequently (usually in my head, thankfully!) when i hear a phrase or word from a song stored within my memory. my best friend and i tend to do this during preaching and exclaim "i was just thinking of that song!".

:: i have an obsession with proofreading.... i unconsciously proofread everything from restaurant menus to junk mail to cereal boxes... not that i am perfectly grammatically correct in every way

:: at any given moment, there are at least 5 pairs of shoes in my car. why? i don't know.
