Perspective -  the capacity to view things in their true relations or relative importance

Recently, I found myself thinking about some situations that I am powerless in, besides prayer. Stuff that really have nothing to do with me but they bother me at times because I hate to see the people I love go through pain. I fell into my bad habit of over-thinking, worrying, wondering how in the world the God who made this world.... oh, that's right. He made this world. And He hold all us in the palm of His hand. And the issues of this life are like a speck of dust on the tip of His finger. 

I know, I know... "duh, Jen." But at the time and even still now, it felt/feels like such a revelation and encouragement. Things can seem so BIG but just compare it all to the God that we serve.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts Isaiah 55:9

It's so neat to be in a plane and to look at cars going across the highway, knowing that they're full-sized vehicles but at the moment they look like little toys speeding on a track! Or while landing in Phoenix and passing skyscrapers that didn't seem that tall at the time. The higher we are, the smaller everything looks.

This is both naturally and spiritually. 

The closer we are to God, the smaller our problems seem.
