stuff.

sooooo.... our psychotic weather made it to the news on tuesday!

i happen to live in the dallas area and i'm tellin' ya, by the Grace of God, i can say that me and my loved ones {church family} can thankfully say that we did not suffer any horrible damage. the worst i've heard was from one sister whose vehicle encountered some baseball sized hail but she had no windows broken.

i'm one of those odd individuals who likes inclement weather, just not when it's causing destruction. and living here, you learn that spring time = tornado season for us in "tornado alley". so when i heard about about the possibilities of tornado, i was actually looking forward to the temperature being lowered some. ummm, i'm not a fan of it hitting the 80's and 90's in april, okay? so Then i heard more news saying basically "hey people, this is actually very serious so you should seek shelter". then, i started to hear reports of tornado touchdowns near my church and seeing pics of 18 wheelers being tossed in the air like tonka trucks. and that got my mind going a bit.

what if everything you'd worked for was blown away in a matter of minutes? i wasn't really scared while all of this was going on. in fact, i was at work and wishing someone would come by with a tranquilizer for some of my coworkers.

but i found myself thinking about the safety of my loved ones. and my stuff.

and while thinking about my stuff i felt kinda ridiculous because really stuff is just.... stuff. stuff can be replaced. but it's so easy to get caught up in mere stuff.

thankfully, God spared the lives of my nearest and dearest and my stuff.

perhaps spring cleaning is in order to rid me of my excess stuff!!
