uh oh! Jen's about to get all political up in here!
not really. i don't really enjoy doing all that.
BUT! when politics involve my beloved chicken nuggets, its WAR!
so here's the deal: the baptist president of Chick-Fil-A was asked if he was against gay marriage and his honest answer was, "guilty as charged". now, many pro-gay marriage people are angry. mayors of cites such as Boston, Chicago and San Francisco are angry. people are boycotting the business. why? because the man has an OPINION.
ok, why do i have to agree with everything that you think is right? why am i supposed to be tolerant of your beliefs but you have no toleration of mine? i find this very frustrating!! it is SUCH a double standard. i hear people applauded in the media because they support gay marriage. well, good for them. that doesn't offend me. i don't care. to be honest folks, we're in the last days. it's no surprise that people will be going psycho and running towards unnatural things and such. i expect this. so for fun, i will be visiting Chick-Fil-A on wednesday for "Support Chick-Fil-A Day". but you'll never see me picketing at an anti-gay marriage demonstration. but i digress ;)
my point is that i'm a bit peeved at a society that is so weak, everything is sooooo offensive! "oh, that's hate speech!" UGH! give me a break!
i love this one quote i learned about in high school. it's usually attributed to Voltaire and says:
"I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it"
um, first amendment rights, anyone?
so support gay marriage. support human-and-crocodile marriage, for all i care. i promise i won't crumble up and die in offended-ness.

You are so right. It is a double standard.I guess chick fil a isn't as bad as I thought lkl
Well said..... :-)
I agree 115%! Remember the kids in kindergarten who always threw temper tantrums when they didn't get their way? Yeah they never grew up and their tantrums are just on a larger scale now. Hmph. Talk about ruffled feathers in the name of immaturity and ignorance. Some people certainly live by the phrase, "I love you as long as you agree with me." Grow up!
P.S. Now I have an excuse to go to chic-fil-a every day cuz I'm not gonna let them go down. ha! :)
Thank you, dear commenters!
AMEN! We don't hate gay people, we just don't agree with them, same as they don't agree with us. We both have a right to express that.
