Hola!

Happy December! Yayyyyyyyyyy!

It's crazy, busy times around here!

:: Thanksgiving was pretty great! We had some people over and that makes me SOOO happy..... my family is all spread out around the country so having people at the house is grand! :)

The only pics that I took were of food.... how sad is that? Pics of the big meal and of PIES.

Pecan, apple, pumpkin

My sweet friend Mich gave me a lovely pie dish earlier this year and it came in handy for my apple pie! Ok, I love love apple pie and I attempted one about 2 years ago but it came out terrible. Seriously terrible. Ugh. So I was all defeated and didn't want to try again, haha. We had a ton of apples at work leftover from a meeting sooooo I figured I could maybe try a pie this year with the surplus.

My mom warily bought a frozen apple pie just in case this one went kaput. The Nerve! :D

Thanks to another recipe (and the Grace of GOD, okay?), it came out well! I'm eager to make another one but first, I Have to buy an apple peeler contraption to make my life a bit easier.

Oh! this one isn't completely a food pic! Cute, yes?!

:: I live in a strange land.... but this is my favorite time of year to be here. It does wreak havoc on the immune system though.

:: Oh my, next week is my church's anniversary services! It will be tiring but very good, I'm sure!!

:: I've been reflecting like so many do towards the end of a year.... Just thinking about occurrences from this year and years past that brought me to where I am now. I heard a radio dj asking people to call in and tell him: what are you thankful *now* that at first, you weren't very thankful for?

I have a lot of things that fit in that category!!!! It's funny how God always knows what's best for us at the time even when we're kicking and screaming against it. So easy to say, so hard to understand until you've been there!

So I've been reflecting on the beauty of trials and how WE are the ultimate deciding factor as to how they'll affect us. We can either go God's way {typically the *least* comfortable route} or our way {the dumb route}. Will the fire mold you or burn you?

Anywho, God is good. Alllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the time.
