is it just me or is this year totally f l y i n g by?!?
it's already june and before i know it, it'll be time to take out the sweaters and coats again. i console myself with this thought as i face the daily humidity.
so, as i've said before, i do not set new year's resolutions because they always seem destined to fail. poor, poor resolutions. but even if i don't create a formal resolution, i do have things, some trivial & some not, that i would like to accomplish before the clock runs out on 2009.
* read the whole Bible through - arg! am i the only one who has, once again, gotten terribly behind on their reading? it's horrible!
* bake a cake from scratch - that's right! no boxed cake mix allowed! hmmm.... who knows, i just may do this on saturday.
* read a c.s. lewis book - why? well, because every time i hear one of his quotes, i think "wow, he was so insightful!". and the people that i have heard (in preaching)/read quoting him are people i respect and consider intelligent. so i wanna be cool too, ha!
* become ambidextrous - yeah, this has been a silly goal for a long time. but i really would want to write completely legible with both hands!
* get a bookcase - this is the key to my organizing my books/room/life. when i obtain this, there will no longer be boxes of books in the closets, which in turn will free up space for Shoes. this will also eliminate the need to have books in drawers, the garage, etc. a bookcase will solve all of my problems. ;)
july 2nd will be the middle of the year! do you have anything to accomplish or catch up on before 2010?
